"We Gasped Out Loud and Yelled 'WHOA That's So Cool!!'"

A friend and I escaped from the Orient Express room today and had SO MUCH FUN! The theming was incredible, the puzzles were cleverly integrated, and there were so many fun things to discover about the room. No spoilers, but there were definitely times when we gasped out loud and yelled, “WHOA that’s so cool!!”, much to the amusement of our game master. Speaking of which, Kellen, our Game Master, was amazing; so nice, fun, encouraging, and helpful. I will definitely be coming back to try the other rooms, and want to bring along all of my friends!!

"We All Had So Much Fun!"

We celebrated my husband’s 50th Birthday here this past weekend and had a blast!! The staff were amazing, the escape rooms were so fun and the Party lounge was the perfect place to continue our celebration with food, music, and the bar. "I Stumbled on This GEM!"

I booked the Orient Express room and the Bonnie and Clyde room as part of a large Bachelorette Party day(I live in NY and this is in CA making it difficult bc I couldn’t check a place out first). This was actually not my original choice but after calling elsewhere and finding that another place in the area was unable and unwilling to accommodate a large group…I stumbled on this GEM! This business is run so SO well and they went above and beyond to accommodate us! The rooms were hard to figure out but not impossible and it made for an awesome experience…one group made it out with 4mins and the other with 2mins to spare in the hour we had! The rooms and stories were so well planned and thought out…keeping everyone’s interest and it was a challenge so when you make it out before time you feel really accomplished! Bonus back patio that is a really nice place to spend some time with a celebratory drink and friends!Pricing is fair and Jordana is the nicest person ever for putting up with us all and WE ALL LOVE THE PICTURES! Thank You! Try this place we will want to go back and do all the rooms! (Parking is street so bring enough to feed the meter it’s worth it!)

"Absolutely Stunning"

Love the games here. We had the opportunity to try Bonnie and Clyde and Orient Express and both were absolutely stunning and amazing. There was enough things to do in the room for 6 people and we completed both rooms with some time remaining on the clock! Love the fact that they have 3 games here you can totally come with a big group and have everyone play at the same time.

"You Need to Go and See for Yourself"

Went for the first time recently. Signed up to do the Orient Express Room with a friend who had never done an escape room before (I have done upwards of 20). Upon entering you could immediately tell just how large the building really is, they use their space accordingly and it shows. Paperwork took roughly 1 minute, and they even had complimentary coffee!
Once everything was settled we were taken to our room and given a backstory. Our friend has just been murdered and we only had one hour to discover the truth!! The room was gorgeous, as I like to say, “A place for everything, and everything in its place”, it felt like I was really inside a cabin on the Orient Express. Once the clock started, my teammate and I were off, at first we were confident in our skills, we seemed to be moving at a decent pace.
But little did we know that we would be plunged deeper and deeper into a conspiracy that would send our heads spinning once the end result was revealed (we beat the room with barely 30 seconds remaining). After the mystery was solved, and a very cool Green Screen Picture was taken, we were invited to relax at their Outdoor Patio, a very large and spacious outdoor section with chairs and couches to rest on after a very Mental and Physical challenge.
To my surprise, and pleasure, I was able to meet and speak with the Owner (Jon) for about a half an hour, you can just tell from speaking with him that he is passionate about this business. He and his Wife were both very accommodating and genuinely interested in our opinions from our experience. Trust me when I say I could shower them with praise all day, but really, you just need to go and see for yourself. The price is fair (considering what you get in total experience), the people running the place are there to ensure you have a great time, the puzzles are smart and clever. But most important (to me anyway), the level of detail not only in the Decor, but for the actual pieces used to solve your mystery are seriously high quality stuff.
Seriously, there were at least two times in the room where I almost couldn’t believe the level of detail put into everything and I just ended up standing there dumbfounded (also probably lost like 2 minutes of time just standing going “Wooooow, can you believe this?!? How cool!!”).
They also do large parties where they can host 50+ people. Their back patio is also used to its fullest extent for events, capable of hosting parties, performances, food and drinks, Business Workshops, etc.. Moral of the story here I think is, A.) Go do an Escape Room at Architect Escape Rooms B.) If you need to host a party of 50 people, have it at Architect Escape Rooms C.) If you are just looking to go do something fun for an hour that stimulates your brain and doesn’t cost an Arm and a Leg, go do an Escape Room at Architect Escape Rooms, and finally D.) Go to Architect Escape Rooms.

"We Will Definitely Be Back for More"

Our group did the Orient Express Escape room. I have done 25+ rooms and this one easily ranks as one of the best. The decor was amazing and the puzzles were all different and creative. Also, the staff was very friendly and excited for us to be there. They all seemed genuinely invested in the rooms, the business, and the customers. The magic tricks in the lobby were an added special bonus. We will definitely be back for more, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store when they expand!

"Impressed by the Production Value and the Creativity"

Great experience and atmosphere – came for a corporate team builder and the crew were professional and enthusiastic. We escaped from the Houdini room (using 2 hints) and I was impressed by the production value and the creativity of some of the puzzles we encountered. I’ve done a few escape rooms previously, and this room/company was definitely one of the better ones.
Parking is limited with street-only parking which is somewhat crowded in the area so I recommend budgeting extra time in case you need to park a bit far and walk. True to the promises on the website, there is a spacious and comfy indoor and outdoor lounge area with coffee available for all those who follow the “arrive 15 minutes early” instructions – this is a perk not seen in most rooms and only adds to the positive experience, escape or not!

"Very Clever Puzzles and Challenges"

My friends and I have done a lot of escape rooms, and after doing their Houdini room we all agreed that it was in our top favorites, very clever puzzles and challenges of observation. Also cool is that it was built and operated by a lovely young couple named John and Jordana. It’s got a great setup and an awesome outdoor area, perfect place for a party or corporate event. "Had a Great Time Helping Bonnie and Clyde!"

My sister and I recently did the Bonnie and Clyde Getaway room in Reseda. “J” was our game master and did a perfect job. (Thanks, J!) This room was packed with jazzy items from the 30s and looked perfect. The puzzles were fun and challenging. There were a couple of unique puzzles we hadn’t seen in rooms before and even a big surprise that was quite unexpected and, in my opinion, was the best part of the room! This room is family friendly and would appeal to all ages from 12 on up. (We are both 60+.) If you are in the area, be sure to check this place out! We will definitely go back on our next visit there.

"Really Cool Vibe"

Great escape room! My son celebrated his birthday here with some of his friends. They did the Orient Express room and made it out just in the nick of time. It was challenging, but they enjoyed the clues. Kelen couldn’t have been nicer. She was very helpful and explained everything in detail to ensure their success. They were kind enough to let us use their outdoor patio to serve the cake and it had a really cool vibe. "Warm Smiles By Everyone"

I had the pleasure of playing Houdini’s Hideout with my wife and daughter this weekend. After the hour of fun, we returned to the car and all agreed we had to write a review for the Great people at Architect Escape Rooms. "Exciting and Fun"

We went to this place yesterday for my teenager’s birthday. This was the place she really wanted to go to, even though it’s pretty far from us. The time we chose meant rush hour traffic and the drive there was over 2 hours, but it was totally worth it! None of us had ever tried anything like this, but Josh was awesome, made us feel welcome and comfortable with the whole thing. When we asked for hints, he was on the radio right away and gave us really good hints that were definitely helpful yet didn’t hand us the answers, so the puzzles and game were still exciting and fun. Afterward we all decided we want to come back and try out their other rooms too. Considering the age range we showed up with, pretty impressive that everybody ended up happy!

"Perfect for My Wife's Birthday"

I was trying to come up with a special way to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday, and stumbled on to this escape room as a possibility. Jordana got back to me so quickly and made booking and setting up the event so simple and easy. They have a fantastic back patio that they offer groups and parties that was perfect for my wife’s birthday.
Our group was split into all three rooms so I only did the Bonnie and Clyde escape room. It was my first time ever doing an escape room and I had a blast and will definitely come back to try out the others. I’m now an escape room junkie. LOL.
This place is a great escape room and and even better place if you want to hold a get together, birthday or work event.

"It Was a Blast!"

We celebrated our son’s 13th Birthday with his 5 friends and did the Bonnie and Clyde Getaway. It was a blast! The reservation process with Jonathan went smoothly. I would especially like to thank Joshua and Joseph, the Magician. The check-in process with Joshua was simple and he was very helpful during the escape room adventure. He even took wonderful pictures of the group with props and sent us digital copies of the same at no extra cost with themed backgrounds. I am so glad, Jonathan recommended the magician. Joseph entertained the group with magic tricks in the patio area in the back after the escape room adventure. All in all, it was a great experience. We will definitely go back to check out the other rooms.

"Professionally Decorated"

Went to the Bonnie and Clyde room for my daughter’s 13th birthday. She brought 3 friends and my husband joined them ( needed an adult). They had a blast. They finished the room which they described as challenging but fair. The room was professionally decorated, not cheap ( as we have seen in other escape rooms). The staff was courteous when we called, and greeted us on location with the same kindness. Instructions were clear and tips are given if needed. Overall a fantastic experience. We will definitely return to try another room, and this time with some of our friends.

Our family of 3 really enjoyed the Orient Express room. We thought it would be a fun experience for my husband’s birthday. IT WAS! The clues were challenging enough for us first timers. The room was put together very nicely – lots of clues, cool props, and surprises. We had a blast working together.
You can tell that The Architect put care and thought into the room. Jay, the employee that morning, was very helpful!! Don’t be shy about asking for hints 😉 and don’t forget to ask. Time flies when you’re having fun! If you’re looking for a unique experience, check them out. My husband said it was a great birthday gift. We will definitely go back to check out the other rooms

"Truly Bonded All of Us"

Our big team went in for the first time our summer team building activity and it’s all worth it! We had the opportunity to occupy all rooms and everyone enjoyed it! This was our third time at the architect escape room, we had a blast, my 12-year-old daughter really gets into it. "An Amazing Evening"

What a great place. We took the kids (ages 17, 13, 12, and 9) out last Friday night. It was my son’s idea… Didn’t think that we would all be so immersed in the ESCAPE. We did the Orient Express room. Our host was Josh. He was Super! We will be back to do the other 2 rooms. I highly recommend having this experience. An amazing evening. Bring your friends and family for a fun time. They also have a wonderful outdoor area with seating, lights, and a cozy lounge type of scene. Must check this place out!

"Best One I've Ever Done!"

This place was just wonderful! The feeling of mystery starts the moment you arrive, ringing the doorbell of a building that makes you feel like you’re trying to get into a speakeasy or another sort of secret establishment. You walk into a dark entry and there we met Josh, who was extremely pleasant, helpful, and helped make the entire experience memorable. My group tried the Houdini room, which was a blast! We ended up finishing with 9 minutes to spare, after getting 3 very helpful clues from Josh. I’ve tried a couple other escape rooms places, but this was the best one I’ve ever done! We ended up trying the orient express one right after! I loved the logic behind the puzzles and feel the rooms were expertly set up. All in all, an amazing place!

"Challenging, Inventive, Fun"

Challenging, inventive, fun, and friendly. I’ve done quite a few escape rooms from various vendors, and I have to say that this experience (Houdini’s Hideout) was easily in the top 5. Not only was the room here well constructed, the puzzles well constructed, and the immersion nicely implemented, the staff (Josh, the night we attended) were friendly, communicative, and helpful. My two fellow escapees were experiencing their first room, and couldn’t stop gushing as we headed home afterward.
As an added bonus – the room descriptions on the website have the nice touch of showing the kind of environment and puzzle-solving skills needed for each room which allowed us to help pick the room that would have the best group experience. While I have seen other vendors’ websites rank a room’s difficulty, I’ve never seen that particular kind of breakdown and I very much enjoyed it.
I very much recommend The Architect’s rooms and I am looking forward to coming back and tackling the other two that they have now, as well as looking forward to the new rooms they have on the horizon.

"We're Addicted!"

My family had a great time…x2! We’ve done 2 of the rooms on separate occasions – Bonnie and Clyde & Houdini’s Hideout. The themes of the rooms were fun and puzzles challenging. The staff is very nice and positive. We’ve almost hit 20 escape rooms after this visit…we’re addicted! If you like puzzles and looking for some entertainment look into escape rooms and Architect Escape Rooms is a must to do!

"I'm Still Thinking About It Days Later"

I’ve done my fair share of escape rooms so my standards are a bit on the “picky” side now. I was pleasantly surprised, however, to find this gem in the valley. I’ve been here three times now and I can’t wait for more of their rooms to open. The first time I took my two kids, 8 and 11, and we did Bonnie and Clyde’s Great Getaway. Then I came back twice more for date nights and did Houdini’s Hideout and Orient Express. I’ll get right to the point.
PROS
– The customer service is exceptionally accommodating and friendly. From the first time I called to book, to the lounge drinks before and after our game, I was impressed.
– The rooms themselves meet the hype that I read before going in. I’d rank Houdini’s and Orient as my favs, followed closely by Bonnie and Clyde. Houdini is on the more difficult end.
– Not going to spoil anything but there’s some very cool and clever stuff in both Orient and Bonnie and I’m still thinking it about days later.
– The décor convincingly matched the thematic arrangement of each room, including real period pieces from their respective eras. This helped to get me totally absorbed in the experience as I progressed through the games.
– The puzzles themselves fit with the narrative, which is a major plus in my book. You know those films with the endings that catch you by complete surprise, and you walk out wanting to watch it all over again to enjoy the thrill for a second time? That’s the feeling I had solving the puzzles. They were challenging and mysterious, yet intuitive, and they engaged that creative part of my brain that gets me just wanting to do more and more.
– I really love how the games are customizable in terms of difficulty, so I was able to play them with my kids and then also with adults later.
– They have a comfy outdoor lounge that is just beautiful at night and when I went there I was able to enjoy drinks before the games (and even see a couple random celebrities).
CONS
– It is by appointment only, so you can’t just walk-in and expect to play something. I learned this the hard way my first time going. Tip: book ahead of time so you can get what you want, as they tend to fill up fast.
– Parking is metered until 8 pm, not much anyone can do about this. It cost us a couple bucks. On the plus side, it’s close to their building and safe, so it isn’t really an issue.

"Blew Our Mind"

I love this place. So far, it’s the only escape room I’ve been to, but my group says it’s the best place they’ve been to so far. Every clue just blew our mind because it all tied back to each other. No single clue is a dead end and even when you got stuck, once you realize something – you wanna smack yourself for ignoring that feeling they something was important.

"Complex but Logical - Bonnie and Clyde Escape Room is a Great Experience"

Architect Escape Rooms (#architectescaperooms) allows you the opportunity to use your deductive reasoning skills and set up a way to logically work your way out of a set of problems. Escape rooms are designed for you to use your powers of observation (whether visual, tactile, gustatory, auditory) to notice what is around you. Then using deductive logic, try to use these clues to solve problems that sequentially unfold as you progress through solving the puzzles. You have to do this within either 60 or 90 minutes, in order to be able to escape the room before whatever catastrophe is going to happen, happens! This room (#BonnieandClyde) is well set up to test all of your skills, forcing you to examine everything in the room from top to bottom, side to side, and even under and over everything there. With many decoys, it is a very satisfactory experience from start to finish. We had to seek 2 clues in order to be able to get out, but that is due to our own naivete in what we thought was permissible and what actually was. Explore EVERYTHING and enjoy an hour that goes by super quickly as you keep your mind alive in a world that is increasingly doing everything for you!

"Can't Begin to Express How Happy I Was With My Experience Here"

So I can’t begin to express how happy I was with my experience here. I rented all three rooms for a 10 year old birthday party and from the minute I called to set it up the owner was kind, helpful, and easy to work with. They went above and beyond to help make the day special – to the extend of adding the birthday girls info into a part of the game (can’t spoil it with more info). We used the amazing back patio for a nice dinner and a magician performed for the girls. The rooms were great! For anyone looking for an escape room birthday party I really highly recommend Architect Escape Rooms. We would definitely do another party there!
